Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage starts November 1. Choose 2026 if you’re enrolling now because of a life event.
You, your spouse if filing jointly, and anyone you claim as a dependent.
$

The price of the second-lowest-cost Silver plan for your household. Don’t know it? We’ll look it up for you.

This is an estimate only, not a determination of eligibility or a guarantee of savings. Final eligibility is decided by the Health Insurance Marketplace. It uses the IRS applicable percentages and HHS poverty guidelines for the year you select. Your actual tax credit depends on your final income, household and local plan prices, and is reconciled when you file your taxes. Rules can change if Congress acts.

How Tax Credits Work

Four things to know

about Marketplace savings.

Your income sets your share

If you qualify, you pay a set percentage of your income for the benchmark Silver plan, and the tax credit covers the rest.

Use it on any metal level

The credit is based on a Silver plan, but you can apply it to Bronze, Silver or Gold plans on the Marketplace.

The 400% limit is back

The extra help available from 2021 through 2025 has ended, so households above 400% of the poverty level no longer qualify.

It's settled at tax time

Your credit is based on your estimated income. If your income changes, report it so you don’t owe money back when you file.
